Daria Lupan conceives her art as an exploration of the inner world, where emotions, tensions, and personal or collective experiences are transformed into symbolic and expressive images. Her artistic vision does not aim to reproduce external reality but rather filters it through her own perception, turning it into visual reflections that challenge the viewer to confront profound themes such as human fragility, dependency, violence, belonging, and the search for self. Her works stand out through the intensity of recurring symbols and a visual language that combines raw expressiveness with inner lyricism.
Her style is in constant evolution, mirroring her personal and spiritual transformations. Oil painting serves as her preferred medium of expression, offering depth and richness that allow her to convey contrasts and the intensity of emotions. Through tense compositions and figures that are distorted or constrained, the artist evokes feelings of confinement, struggle with oneself, and confrontation with the outside world, visually embodying the psychological and social realities that define us.
