American artist Louis Wallach (b.1956) has been making images of the world around us since childhood, along the way earning his degree from The RIT School of Photographic Arts and Sciences and making photographs for collectors, clients, exhibitions and books.
His work is a response to light, location and structure; interpreting the natural world (including the works of humankind) in monochrome. Seeing the commonplace and grandiose as equal in visual value, he observes, responds and describes; bringing viewers his sense of intimacy and respect.
Currently living in Massachusetts, he photographs from his backyard to the other side of the world; a running narrative of the environments he's passed through.
