I make quilted paintings without paint made with threats and cloth.
I am a self-taught artist living and working in Miami, Florida.
I was a scientist for more than thirty years and I loved every minute of it. In 2015 my career ended due to neurological issues. It was a long recovery and creating art played an enormous part in my healing process.
I quilt snapshots of everyday scenes. The colors and patterns of fabric pieces often give inspiration for what I draw on top of them.
My work has had an excellent reception, which has made me known to the art community and has made possible the exhibition of my quilts in art galleries and museums across the country.
