Madeleine De Angelis

I am a Brighton based contemporary artist, constantly inspired by the ever changing sea and the stunning South Downs.

2026 I have just won the prestigious Baohong award for excellence from The Royal Society Of Artists In Watercolours at The Mall Galleries London.

2026 I am currently exhibiting a painting selected by the judges at Worthing Museum of Art.

2022 I exhibited and sold work in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition .

2024 shortlisted for the RA.


I was selected to exhibit at Londons prestigious Mall Gallery from Nov 17-26 ‘23. Small Works exhibition.


I spend hours making observational sketches and photos that results in an intense emotional study of light and texture.

Prior to becoming a full time artist I had a long career in fashion and textile design. I ran a large London design studio producing garments for all of the major high street companies.

I studied fashion at Eastbourne College of Art (HND) and then won a bursary to the Harrow School of Art and passed with Excellence in fashion design.
