Marcia De Sordi

Based in São Paulo, Brazil, Marcia De Sordi began experimenting with art in 2012, developing her skills through intense research, study and immersive experiences in museums and art galleries around the world. Her current work explores the density of acrylic paint on canvas, combining different elements, like glue and water, through Paint Pouring, both in an abstract and figurative way.

Inspired by themes such as female oppression, women’s power, nature and the subjectivity of dreams, her previous series featured other techniques such as ink, gouache, oil, drawing and watercolor. In September 2021, she was part of Art at Home, a group exhibition at Duke Gallery, in São Paulo.
