Marco Affaitati

Marco Affaitati was born in 1988 in Nocera Inferiore, in the province of Salerno (Campania-Italy). He obtained his ​Master Degree in painting at the ABA Rome (Academy of Fine Art) in 2012 and a Master Degree in ​“Special Education Needs” at the University of Rome “Foro Italico” in 2020. He currently lives in Rome ​where he carries out his artistic activity and works as a “special education needs” teacher in the public ​school, in classes with children with disabilities.The artist uses the canvas as a notebook, a storytelling of ​gestures and emotions. A painting session generates a layer, the intersection of multiple layers produces ​a visual, narrative and existential fabric that constitutes the work itself. The artist creates 'pictorial ​ecosystems', in which beauty and poetry develop in the relationship between the painting sessions and in ​the story that is generated. Affaitati has experimented various pictorial techniques over the years, ​currently using almost exclusively oil painting that it sometimes combines with oil sticks and spray paint.
