Margaret Mcniel

Margaret McNiel is an artist who lives in Dallas, Texas. She studied painting at Wesleyan University in Connecticut. She earned an MFA from the University of Texas at Austin. She has exhibited in galleries throughout the United States.

My current paintings are heavily influenced by feeling isolated during the pandemic. These paintings are based around memories of people and events. Like memories, they are partial and inaccurate. I have never worked with the human figure in painting previously, but have found that right now, human subject matter is all I can think about.
