Mariah Nikolic

Marija Nikolić (1993) is a contemporary artist from Belgrade, currently living in Milan. She completed a Master Studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade and Master of Science at Politecnico di Milano in Italy.

In her artistic practice, she explores within formally divergent fields by delving into studies of culture, psychoanalysis, gender and socio-political power, biopolitics of space, vulgar and absurd through a wide range of traditional and new media. Dealing with new technologies herself, such as design and program creation, she depicts the phenomena that arose from the development of new technologies in her drawing topics. On the other hand, he uses the aesthetics of drawing narrative in multidisciplinary works such as video, performance and digital works.

From 2012. she has been actively participating in group and solo exhibitions.
