Maria Chumak

Maria Chumak is native of St. Petersburg, Russia. Having a fine art degree from the Russian Academy of Arts and Master’s in Illustration from Strasbourg (France), she topped it off with a degree in fashion design from Paris. Leaving behind a career in the fashion industry and teaching in various art design colleges worldwide, she focuses her attention on illustration and gallery work.
After extensive travels in USA, Asia and Middle East she finally settled in South India. She enjoys motorcycle rides in the early mornings with her children, swimming and diving in the ocean, yoga and meditation in Himalayas. In all of her adventures, a sketchbook is always by her side. Fun fact...she enjoys everything in twos: two kids, two pets, two houses and two coconut trees.
