Maria Heidemann

I was born in 1981, in the small town of Gronau/Germany. After a short but passionate relationship with academia I started studying Fine Arts in Amsterdam. I'm precise and kind of a control freak, which is mostly undermined by my own clumsyness.

I'm an explorer, searching for new territory within myself and the world around me. I'm lead by traditions and traditional crafts, family history plays a big role for me. My art comes forth out of the constant struggle between me and my sick body.
