RECOGNITION
Mária Rimarčíková (1973) is a Slovak painter who dedicates her work to seeking out the confluence of human existence and the transcendent.
My work explores the relationship between human existence and transcendence, and the tension between individual autonomy and connection to something greater. Through visual language (painting, object, installation) I create space for reflection on what is lost when one relies solely on personal will, and what can emerge when one engages with a transcendent dimension of being.
