María Sjöfn is an Icelandic Visual Artist.
María Sjöfn multidisciplinary works with forms of natural phenomena, often taking the shape of installation and involving sculptural interventions such as video, sound, photography and drawing. María Sjöfn’s process of development begins with experimentation focusing on multifaceted perceptions of the environment, and in particular the inner and outer contexts of space and matter. Sometimes not so obvious, she is critically exploring the relation of the human being and the environment.
