Maria Walpen

María Walpen is an Argentinean visual artist. She lives and works as a freelance content creator in Buenos Aires, working mainly for decoration brands, lifestyle, gastronomy and arquitecture studios.

Through the usage of colour and the themes in her photographs (generally seascapes, nature and botanical) she wants to transmit positive sensations.

Since 2021, María promotes a personal project named Grün, where she exhibits and commercializes her own fine art photos of nature and landscapes with handmade wooden frames.

She was formed as an audiovisual producer, director and as a photographer. She is also foodstylist. Studied screenplay with Argentinian film director Daniel Burman.

She won the first prize of photography in the Universidad de Belgrano Nº23 contest for her photo entitled "Felisa", a portrait of the Pachamama.

She won the first prize on photography in the contest "The salt of life", for her photo entitled "Humita" about local gastronomy.

She joined in the Japanese project "I envision a world..." where she narrated her experiences as director and camarographer of the documentary serie Manduca.
