Maria Xinari

My work exists in the space between image and language. I use drawing, painting, text, symbols, and questions to investigate identity, inner tension, distortion, and the unseen structures that shape selfhood. Some works begin with words, fragments, or written questions that slowly take visual form; others emerge through instinct, gesture, and emotional force. I am drawn to the moment where thought becomes image, where feeling becomes structure, and where a work can operate both as presence and as map — revealing not only emotion, but the architecture beneath it.
