The Artist, Writer and Wizard
My name is Marie Korovina.
I was born high in the mountains of Uzbekistan and for me everything begins here, at sunrise, with cool mountains, emerald bowls of valleys, among flowers. In the beauty of this land, washed by ancient waters - my Inspiration. Here, on the territory of my Motherland, many centuries ago the state of Ilak flourished. It is like a radiant mystery, sparkling in the Night of centuries. Having the ability to penetrate through time, I was deeply struck by those places and events that I saw and heard through the thickness of time. I can say for sure - the roads of the Silk Road are not lost; the blessed ancient cities do not sleep.
This direction reflects the essence of my creativity: My motto is to study DNA of the world’s cultures.
By using age-old cultural symbols that are universal and applicable to all people, I use my art to enlighten the viewer's way to themselves, much like a bright star would.

1987-1991
Graduated at the People's Republican Art Studio of the Textile Workers' Palace of Culture in Tashkent under the guidance of Yakov Lvovich Frumgartz, a prominent cultural figure of the Uzbek SSR.
1992-1996
Personal training under Ruzya Chariyeva, Academician of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan and People's Artist of the Uzbek SSR.
1998-2002
Graduated from the Republican Art College named P.P. Benkov in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, earning a diploma in design and book graphics.
2002-2008
Studied with Italian masters in stained glass creation and glass fusing techniques at the SOVPLASTITAL Factory. Received instruction in Tiffany techniques, mosaics, and gold painting on the glass. Worked as a stained-glass artist in the coloured glass at SOVPLASTITAL Factory (producing Italian stained glass in Uzbekistan).
2015
Completed a Diploma Course of lectures at the Goethe Institute in Tashkent, earning a diploma in "Art Criticism and Curatorship in the System of Contemporary Art."
2016
Became a member of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan.
Since 2018, participant in exhibitions, art residencies, and workshops across Europe and
Asia.
2025
Participation in the WORLD ART DUBAI
