Mari Koenig

Born in Alberta, Canada in 1973.
Currently living in Mallorca, Spain

Growing up in an Artistic Home, my education in art began at a very young age.
Prefering to spend weekends in Watercolour workshops with my mother, and weekly after school painting classes. All before the age of 13. My formal Art Education ended however, at the age of 17 due to unavoidable circumstances. It was then some 12 yrs before I reestablished my relationship with a brush and palette. It was short lived.
However, 4yrs later I found myself traveling the world working on Superyachts and could not let the opportunity to capture my experiences go to waste. I began a short series of postcards in watercolour and ink, and regained my passion.
I've had a short course in Life drawing since then and am currently taking lessons in a small group private setting.
