Marina Reutova

Marina Reutova is a self-taught artist whose work explores feminine archetypes, sacred symbolism, and the transformative nature of light and matter.

Working primarily with acrylic, gold leaf, and mixed media, she creates luminous compositions where color, texture, and organic forms unfold intuitively. Each painting begins as a meditative process in which the final image is not predetermined but gradually revealed through layers of color and material.

Gold plays a central role in her practice. For Reutova, it represents divine energy, timelessness, and the presence of the sacred. As light interacts with the gold surface, the paintings continuously transform, shifting with the viewer’s movement and the surrounding space.

Her practice currently develops through two major bodies of work.
The Women in Gold series explores feminine power, sensuality, and inner transformation through organic forms and flowing structures.
In Fool’s Journey, Reutova reinterprets archetypes from the Tarot of Marseille, translating ancient symbolic language into contemporary visual forms.
