Marino Kounias

Born 1984 on the Greek Isle of Lesvos, Marino is a self-taught and exceedingly versatile artist. His endless array of subjects reflects his life interests and mood. During his first exhibition on the island in 1972 he was lauded in the news by well known art critique Niovi Triantafilo for his talent and great potential.
Since then Marino has gone on to greater horizons. Migrating to Australia in 1973 he held his first one man art exhibition in 1975 with great success and was honored by the late Mayor Perc Tucker. Since then Marino has successfully held a number of one- man showings. Taking part in many Art competitions has resulted in winning numerous awards and high commendation for his prolific creativity.

His works have sold nationally and internationally to private collectors and investors. Marino is well know for his brilliant illuminated colors. He has many of his artworks published into prints and sold internationally.
