Marisa De Lucas

Since I was a child, my passion has been ceramics.

So I decided to learn from a professional potter in a remote part of Spain. There I learned how to use the potter's wheel, how to extract the clay from clay pits, and how to cook in wood-fired ovens, always surrounded by nature.
My main objective in ceramics has been the study of minerals with their multiple combinations , to make possible the magic of glazes and their development in different atmospheres, taking the color ,to its limits.
The shapes and designs, suggestions from nature, are the medium for expressing the spectrum color in murals, sculptures, and wheel-thrown pieces.
