I am an Estonian artist based in London, UK. As a qualified musician, art and culture have always been an integral part of my life and something that continue to inspire me. I get inspired as much from my travels as well as everyday life. Being a regular visitor to museums and galleries, I am fascinated with artworks in different styles and mediums.
I like to challenge and push the boundaries which is also the reason that my artwork is made using various different mediums - including watercolour and ink on paper to more complex materials like oil and sometimes less conventional ones like clay plaster on canvas. My love for drawing means that I often have a pencil in my hand - be it a manual one and scribbling on the paper or a digital one that allows me to create high resolution drawings on my iPad that are perfect for prints and cards.
Whilst being a self-taught artist can be tough, I try to see it as an advantage to my practice. I enjoy the self-discovery, endless long nights finding out about the theory of how different mediums are used and satisfaction in my studio when I get to experiment, play and enjoy the process.
