Markus Freise

I am a professional illustrator and artist from Bielefeld, Germany. Apart from general commissions, I have some ongoing series like my nude art paintings "Brave Nude World" and my one panel comics "ONE. Picture Stories".

My techniques are mainly pencils, watercolour and acrylic pens and paint. While exploring how to implement oil painting in my art. It's crazy and exciting.

I grew up wanting to be an artist.

So painting and art became some kind of passion project beside my regular job as an owner of a digital and classic ad agency. For decades, it was my safe space, my escapism from my corporate life. This way, I self-educated myself in everything that's part of me being a creative entrepreneur.

And now, after spending more than 30 years in meeting rooms and in front of screens, it's time to finally be this artist I always was.
