Maria Barabenkova is an architect and an interior designer, graduated also in economics and philosophy. For more than 15 years she has been creating private and public spaces around Russia, Spain, and Germany. And has been designing pieces of furniture, lightning and textile for her interiors.
In 2017, traveling to India she faced her karma and real passion. In India it’s impossible to avoid. So she returned to art after 22 years of break. Now her artworks are included in private collections in Russia, Spain, Italy, France, Germany and the UK.
Art for her as a joyous celebration of life and beauty. She is an uncompromising maximalist in demonstration of emotions and feelings. But her technical approach is radical minimalism in both content and media. She plays with lines and colors, rejecting all concepts, symbols and metaphors.
Her artworks have always been a tribute to beauty that is always above any truth, or philosophy.
