Geese emerge as a central and recurring motif throughout the body of work.
Through this imagery, the artist invites the viewer to engage with familiar elements and symbols of Ukrainian culture. In Marta’s practice, geese take on layered meanings-appearing as symbols of migration, freedom, and an enduring connection to nature.
The paintings are also infused with a personal narrative rooted in the tradition of embroidery and ornamentation, where the figure of the goose frequently appears as a cultural motif. Reimagined within a contemporary painterly language, this subject becomes a space for experimentation with color, texture, and visual rhythm. Across varying thematic contexts, the works explore expressive, often unconventional compositions that balance tradition with artistic reinterpretation.
From 2010 to 2013, studies were completed at the Volyn Professional College of Culture and Arts named after Igor Stravinsky (Volyn Regional Council), with a specialization in Fine Arts.
In 2019, a degree in glass art was obtained from the Lviv National Academy of Arts.
