Marta Romashina

Marta Romashina is an award-winning photographer and journalist with over a decade of experience within the international fashion and cultural landscape. Having lived in eight countries across Europe, Asia, and Africa, her cross-cultural perspective forms the foundation of a practice defined by visual intelligence and narrative depth.

Influenced by art history, semiotics, and mysticism, she constructs images that move beyond documentation into quiet visual allegories. Her work explores the relationship between place, symbolism, and perception, translating contemporary environments into layered photographic compositions.

Travel remains central to her artistic methodology, enriching her visual language and allowing her to approach each subject with cultural sensitivity and atmospheric precision.

Her photographic and editorial work has been published in leading international titles including Elle, L’Officiel, and Harper’s Bazaar, among others, reinforcing a refined aesthetic shaped by years inside the global image-making industry while remaining distinctly separate from her fine art practice.

Since 2022, Marta has been based in Paris, where she was granted the Passeport Talent residency in recognition of her artistic contribution.
