Marta Rourich

Born in Argentina, she moved to Europe when she was young, and has lived in Barcelona for 50 years. Her source of inspiration is nature. She feels that she has a connection with the natural and living world which is the main reason she uses recycled material in her artwork. She does not try to add on purpose anything special to the painting, she finds the special element while she paints which makes it even more special.

Graphic designer by trade. She studied at EINA, Center for Design and Art in Barcelona. For years she combined graphic design and painting, until 16 years ago when she began to paint and display her artwork that was more related to her graphic knowledge, not only from a technical point of view but also influencing the composition and use of color. Currently, she exclusively dedicates her time to her artwork.
