Martha Sanchez-Hayre

I am a nature-inspired artist, and I aim for a positive aesthetic experience in all my artwork. I think art should give the viewer a reason to smile and dream, rather than dwelling on the negative aspects of life.
I was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia, and I moved to the United States over 20 years ago. My artistic path started in Colombia, where I studied Textiles Design. My professional life developed in the administration field, but I am now full-time devoted to my passion for art. I love painting, drawing, and making tapestries.

I studied 2.5 years of Textiles Design at Los Andes University in Colombia. I started painting as a hobby 10 years ago, by following artists like Bob Rose and Jerry Yarnell, among others. I have recently finished a Fine Arts Professional Certification program at Sessions College in the United States, and I am presently in the Mastery Program of Milan Art Institute.
