Martha Sofia Drasdo

My artistic practice is rooted in systematic methodology and in exploring conceptual possibilities through material and structure. I create autonomous works in which a contemporary visual language is realized through silk thread on linen, executed by specialists according to predefined systems and precise specifications.

The CONSTANT SERIES, the core of my practice, examines the relationship between precision, repetition, and deviation. Its clarity emerges from strict structure and methodical planning.

INSPIRATION AND RIGOR
My visual language draws from universal principles such as geometry, rhythm, and color. It reflects my Peruvian heritage and international experiences, which merge with a disciplined approach to structure and material. The result is work that bridges past and present - contemporary, calm, refined, and powerful - inviting both analytical thinking and meditative contemplation.

COMMISSIONS
Alongside my independent artistic practice, I realize commissioned textile works for private and commercial clients across Europe and the USA.
