Masha Andreievna

I am an artist born in Ukraine, shaped by years living in Canada, and currently based in San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico, where I have established my primary studio.
My practice is informed by human interrelationships and moments of stillness, with a sustained focus on form, material, and balance. Working across sculpture, wearable art, and mixed media, I create one-of-a-kind works that are materially driven and process-oriented, emphasizing restraint, tactility, and quiet presence.
I hand-sculpt ceramic works using organic, regionally sourced clay, fired at low temperatures to preserve the integrity and natural character of the material. My wearable sculptures are produced through lost wax casting in sterling silver and brass. Each piece is individually made and entirely unique, reflecting a long-term commitment to craftsmanship, material understanding, and considered making.
