Photographer Massimiliano Gialdroni was born in Bobbio, Italy in 1974.
He started the relationship with the camera as a child, because his father collected cameras and from time to time gave him one to let him experiment.
Gialdroni started traveling pretty soon and he likes to represent his life as a book.
The most significant pages stay for ever in mind, some of them printed on paper, some just ethereal, but strong.
Encountering new people and cultures creates new reference points and develops both identity and way of interaction.
Landmarks change, things grow, photographs stay.
Gialdroni says: "Sometimes you need years to digest an image and start love or hate it, only because you change.
Why am I taking pictures? Well, I could say that I am addicted and the entire process makes me feel good. The camera is the medium to create the photo. The mind is the medium to create the image.........
I've learned that people are made of layers and sometimes you have to wait until the next one is revealed.
Maybe you are stuck because you're pushing a door that says pull."

Massimiliano Gialdroni is a self-taught photographer.
He started his career working under Aldo Fallai (an italian classic fashion photographer, famous for his Giorgio Armani's campaigns) in Florence and Milan when he was 25.
Aldo Fallai has been his mentor and great source of inspiration and discipline.
Massimiliano has got a "film era" background.
The steps he did in photography, while traveling:
Portrait photography (Naples,Milan) till 1997;
Fashion photography as an assistant (Florence, Milan) till 2004;
On the road full time till the end of 2012;
Afterwards, he moved to Indonesia (January 2013-June 2016) and developed a new interest towards architectural and interior design photography;
France (July 2016-August 2020), with an increasing emphasis on introspective research, and a five months break discovering "tango photography" in Geneva, Switzerland.
Gialdroni believes traveling to the fullest means keeping the mind and the brain open, unencumbered by suspicion and stereotypes.
Back to Italy in the difficult period of Covid, Massimiliano currently lives and works in Napoli, his city of adoption.
