Matt Collinson is a British artist whose work blends mythic portraiture, surreal anatomy, and neon‑charged chaos. His paintings explore the tension between divinity and vulnerability, building a world where beauty and disorder coexist.

Matt’s art journey began in 2019 after a serious health scare forced everything into perspective. He hadn’t painted since school — back when he was told he “wasn’t good enough” — but he’d never stopped doodling, sketching, or quietly feeding that creative spark. Facing the possibility that his time might be cut short, he signed up for ten painting classes at the end of 2019. Then the world shut down.
Instead of stopping, he went all in.

Through the years that followed, Matt experimented relentlessly, pushing through doubt, rebuilding his confidence, and searching for a visual language that felt true. That exploration led him to his signature style: textured, raw chaos — a visceral blend of emotion, mythology, and unfiltered expression.

His work has since resonated far beyond his studio walls, with original paintings collected in homes around the world.
