Matthew Jordan Di Ciano is a Canadian painter, writer, and visual storyteller whose work blends surrealism, emotional abstraction, and cartoon distortion into raw, unforgettable portraits of the human condition. His figures—wide-eyed, wounded, humorous, or haunted—exist in charged, symbolic spaces.

Self-taught and unapologetically personal, Matthew approaches painting as confession, satire, and self-rescue. His canvases borrow from the language of outsider art, but speak with the precision of a novelist and the edge of a poet.

He works across disciplines—also writing novels, poems, and short stories—but his paintings remain the spine of his creative voice: brutally honest, emotionally risky, and impossible to ignore.
