Matt James

Matt James’ paintings have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in galleries, and non-traditional venues throughout Colorado including Sizzle and Bang Gallery, The Matchbox, and Infinite Monkey Theorem. In addition, he has commissioned many pieces for private owners as well as a large mural for the U.S. Forest Service. Matt James has been the recipient of numerous awards and honors including a First Place prize for his piece “the break,” by the Pueblo Art Guild. Matt James grew up in southern Colorado, and has been living in Denver for 10 years. He has been painting primarily figurative pieces using charcoal and oils for over 15 years.
