A painter, I believe, is the one who shows the beauty of the world. My paintings are a glance at the reality that I see every day, different with every new ray of light. Although I undertake various subjects, I always focus on the issue of light, harmony and colour. It is the light that builds space and atmosphere of a painting. I paint what I have seen – a row of chairs in a church, a woman in a restaurant, a corridor at my university. These are the situations that we see, but we disregard them becouse of the visual chaos in which we move every day. We are surrounded by advertisements – our eyes are dazed with colours and information. I would like people to look at my paintings and notice what I notice - that it is often the light, that decides of the beauty of the situation.
I was born in 1995 in Poland in Bielsko-Biała, where I attended high school with extended mathematics and physics curriculum. In my home town, I have been exploring various drawing and painting techniques for six years under the watchful eye of the painter and designer Janina Wierusz-Kowalska. From 2014 I am a student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków at the Faculty of Industrial Design, which enables me develop many skills, ranging from drawing and painting to designing graphic and 3D objects.
In 2015 I received a scholarship from Henry Doren's foundation.
