Maureen Nollette

I am a multidisciplinary visual artist based in the US whose practice includes drawings, paintings, collages, installations, and relief sculptures. Utilizing various art-making media and working in a non-representational manner, I employ the elements of art and design to communicate the interconnectedness of all living beings. Grids often appear in my work, providing solace through the regularity of shapes and patterns. I incorporate fabric, thread, and recycled boxes, materials that hold and bind, to signify societal networks and nature's semiotic infrastructure, connecting everything.

Maureen Nollette earned a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, NE, a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Kansas City Art Institute in Kansas City, MO, and a Master of Fine Arts degree from Queens College in New York City.
