Mauricio Candela

Mauricio Candela is a commercial photographer and director based in Miami, Florida, whose personal work explores the intersection of documentary instinct and fine art sensibility.
Born in Colombia and shaped by years of working in advertising on both sides of the lens, Mauricio developed a way of seeing that is at once cinematic and deeply human. His personal photography strips away the brief, the brand, and the campaign — and gets back to the moment itself. Real light. Real people. Real life.

His fine art and personal work draws from street photography, portraiture, and the quiet drama of everyday scenes — images that don't explain themselves, but invite the viewer to stay a little longer.

Based in Miami, a city of contradictions, color, and constant movement, Mauricio finds his personal subjects in the spaces between the polished and the raw — where culture, identity, and light converge.
