Mauricio Valdiviezo

The practical integrity of my pictorial production is aimed at an elucidation of the lessons of landscape painting from the Romantic school. My work is based on a nostalgic look at the Azuayan landscape that wields laterally a concern for the dire environmental situation of Ecuador in particular, and of the world in general and, likewise, it is aimed at convincing the viewer of the need to confront pictorial art with a slow and meditative attitude as an exercise to increase your critical capacity. The following work is aimed at an understanding of the motivations and processes of my artistic work proceeding, in the same way, to a reflection on the Ecuadorian artistic context in which it is established.
