About Maurizio Capisani

Visual artist, performer within the acquasumARTE artistic group in Milan. In January 2018 he exhibited at the group exhibition "Dimensione Fragile" at the Biblioteca Vallicelliana in Rome. He works mainly by recovering and transforming the base of the tables of a famous Swedish company, whose surface is, according to the needs, modified, removed and subsequently painted, using the print color of supermarkets flyers, catalogs, magazines, posters; the ink is extracted and applied to the wood fiber surface. Sometimes the collage technique is applied by applying images retrieved from old posters, vintage magazines or newspapers, the surface is then coated with a transparent gel that gives resistance and shine at work. Each piece is a unique piece, finished in the back with a vintage wallpaper from the 70s. The transformation is completed with the execution of a hole covered in metal that allows the work to be fixed to the wall. The artist's studio is located in Bressana, municipality of the Oltrepò Pavese, 40 kilometers south of Milan.
