Maya Foltyn

Maya Foltyn is a painter, drawer and photographer living and creating in Toronto. She holds two Bachelor's Degrees of Fine Arts, in Studio Art and in Design (Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, Poland). She further studied painting and drawing in Austria (Academy of Applied Arts in Vienna) before moving to New Zealand and later to Canada. She has exhibited widely in Europe, New Zealand and Canada. She has a strong focus on the fostering of visual arts within society. She is a member of the executive council of the Ontario Society of Artists. 99 Moons are developed on a concept of the big unknown and create a series of multi-sensorial abstract space-scapes reflecting dreamlike images taken from a distant memory.
