PROF. Dr. Mustafa Cevat ATALAY (Ph.D.)

Representing an active and visible accumulation in the world of art and academia, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Cevat ATALAY is known for his prominent works in the fields of contemporary art and art education. His academic productions draw attention with his approach that nourishes both theoretical infrastructure and practical applications, while offering a questioning perspective on the impact of art on the individual and society. Academic Journey
His academic journey began with his undergraduate education (1994-1999) at Selçuk University, Faculty of Education, Department of Art Education. Atalay completed his master's degree at the same university between 2005-2008 with his thesis titled "The effect of socio-economics on creativity in art education", and then received his doctorate degree with his thesis titled "Aesthetic preferences of students receiving higher education" at Gazi University, Institute of Educational Sciences, Art Education (DR) program between 2009-2013. Atalay, who was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 2015 and Professor in 2020, has held important positions such as the Dean of Gaziantep University, Faculty of Fine Arts, and the Founding Head of Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University, Department of Painting; he currently continues his academic and artistic studies at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University, Faculty of Art and Design. In addition, within the scope of his administrative duties, he actively participated in faculty and university boards, served as a quality board member and on various commissions.
