Being born in Lerici, the last residence place of the great poet Shelley, I have been fascinated since childhood by his poetry, his mysterious shipwreck and his death on the sea, which he considered to be the most beautiful sea in the world, just in front of the marble quarries of the Apuan Alps, from which comes the marble of my sculptures, entitled "Verses engraved in marble brought from the sea."
As well as the marble, when broken, reveals inside of it the memory of the waves that have shaped it, I wanted to affect it, the verses of poets that celebrate the Sea whether it was originated, for to conjugate the Man's poetry with that of Nature
After graduating in engineering, I practiced for a few years the profession, and then I devoted myself entirely to sculpture
