Mehiyar Kathem

In my art, I use resin and other mediums to depict nature, landscapes and cityscapes. I am also interested in issues of justice, fairness and history. I am also an academic and researcher (focusing on cultural heritage), based in London, United Kingdom. I am open to commissions.

I have a masters from the London School of Economics, a PhD from the School of Oriental and African Studies and recently completed a long-term post-doctoral position, working on cultural heritage in Iraq, at University College London. I write about cultural heritage and art in the Middle East, and also about global issues.
