Betsy Klesse

I create intimate landscape paintings inspired by the shifting light, textures, and quiet energy of the natural world. Working primarily in acrylic and encaustic, I translate coastal landscapes and fleeting moments of atmosphere into small, tactile works that invite close looking. My landscapes are less about documenting a particular place than capturing the feeling of being there; the luminosity of water, the movement of wind, the warmth of sun, or the stillness that follows a storm.
