Melek Alan

Melek Alan is a contemporary artist born on January 16, 1985, in Vologda, Russia. She currently lives and works in Istanbul.
She loved drawing deeply as a child, but life, family, and responsibilities set art aside for many years. A new chapter began after moving to Istanbul in 2019. At the end of 2024, Melek returned to painting while attending an art course with her daughter — and the moment she picked up a brush, something inside her awakened instantly. Painting became not support, but self-discovery.
Melek possesses a rare ability to enter a deep creative flow, where mind and body work in perfect rhythm. In this state, she creates large-scale oil paintings in a few extended sessions (approximately 4 hours each), with extraordinary speed and concentration.
This is not coincidence, but the result of a high IQ (141), an analytical scientific mindset (INTP personality type), and the ability to instantly structure complex compositions. Her work combines hyper-realistic detail, emotional depth, and exceptional speed — a combination rarely found in contemporary painting.
