Melissa Groth

Born and raised east-coast girl currently living between the desert and the ocean in Orange County, California. Inspired all the time by nature. As a child I spent my time in trees, fields, mud, sand, and snow. I explored my neighborhoods to the extent my nerve would allow, and often set out alone. These days I find myself pulled toward the pastimes of my childhood, and I observe every flower, bird, tree, and brook with eyes intent on soaking up information, inspiration, which I then bring home to the studio. My art is colorful and bold and ethereal. My mission is to evoke the emotions of exploration, awe, discovery, intrigue, and curiosity.
