Mihaela Giurgica

Through a mixed media practice combining the performance and postperformative painting as a way to document the performance action, my research investigates the interaction between ontogenesis and phylogeny, reflecting on how contemporary-day people understands life itself: living without feeling alive. I'm interested on community-based research projects concerning structural vulnerability and human authenticity.

Born in 1992 in Romania and educated in Italy (economic studies), I'm graduated in Fine Arts (bachelor's and master's degree) at "George Enescu National University of Arts” in Romania. Trained in education area too, with a Bachelor's degree in Education Sciences obtained at ”Al. Ioan Cuza University” in Romania.
