Mihovil Dorotic

I am Mihovil Dorotic, an academically trained Croatian painter whose work is rooted in the light, color, and atmosphere of the Adriatic coast.

I was born in Brezice in 1980, and since 2005 I have been teaching art culture while continuing to develop my own body of work. My paintings often capture Mediterranean landscapes, coastal villages, islands, and quiet moments shaped by sunlight, sea, and stone.

Through expressive brushwork and rich color, I try to paint not only the appearance of a place, but the feeling of being there.
