"The sculptural work encompasses my passions for form, drawing and metaphysical study."

A passion for drawing as a child lead to making art a focus of my formal education. After graduating from the Design program (where I regularly incorporated hand-drawn material into my projects), I lived in Tokyo where the immersion in traditional Japanese culture began to deeply inspire my artwork. Studying martial arts strengthened my interest in metaphysics and spiritual awakening, which have become a primary theme in my current work.

In my search for a hands-on approach to life and work, sculpting in wood came like an epiphany. The artwork is a consummation of my passions for drawing, form and metaphysical pursuits.

I am currently living and working in Metro Vancouver.

The Honours Program in Design at York University / Sheridan College in Toronto allowed me the opportunity to develop the most challenging self-directed concepts I could devise at the time and also served as a testing ground from which I gained valuable hands-on experience. Since completing the Honours Bachelor Degree program in 2005 I have been continually researching independently into topics such as: perception and reality; psychological conditioning, memory and time; and reality vs. truth. I am keenly interested in human energetic and neurological potential and the currently available fields of study pertaining to these topics such as: yogic philosophy, vedanta, metaphysics, and the works of J. Krishnamurti.
