Miles Bellême

We find comfort in boundaries, in a kind of fencing manufactured materially, environmentally or energetically. The tone within the penned lines fosters emotional scapes that have no choice but to seep between the cracks.

My work questions visible and invisible boundaries which inform contained emotions. Exploring sensitivities through texture, I am in dialogue with fear, desire, and an instinctual need for expression from which an uncontained environment emerges.

Miles was born in Guernsey, Channel Islands, in 1976. He studied Architecture at Plymouth University and Contemporary Drawing and Painting at Central St Martins. He lives and works in Bourgogne. France.
