Colour. Emotion. Life.


Born in Lévis in December 1968 and raised in Montréal, I discovered art at a very young age. By the age of seven, I already knew I wanted to become an artist.

Colour, movement and expression have remained at the heart of my work ever since.

I paint intuitively, drawn to the energy that colour and gesture can bring into a space. My paintings are created not simply to occupy a wall, but to have a presence of their own — to alter the atmosphere of a room and become part of the life lived around them.

My path as an artist has been private, independent and unconventional. I continued to paint through different periods of my life, often outside the traditional structures of the art world. Recognition was never the reason I painted; the work itself was.

Because of this, an unusual circumstance has emerged: much of my work has remained together.

Rather than being dispersed over decades through galleries and collections, a significant body of paintings from different periods of my artistic life is still accessible today.

I studied art from 1987 to 1993 at Cégep du Vieux Montréal and at Université du Québec à Montréal .

I graduated Bachelière ès Art in 1993 !
