Seema Kumar

This collection features my work inspired by India's Mithila/Madhubani art tradition—a centuries-old form known for its bold lines, intricate patterns, and vibrant colors.

My love for drawing freehand, using lines, dots, and bright, bold colors finds inspiration in this artistic heritage. Every action, every mark made, leads to the next one, and the next, creating poetry with lines, a story in rhythm. Often, seemingly crude figures and uneven lines tell us a story that stems straight from an honest thought process, as if straight from the heart.
